This small egg basket uses a combination of wood splints and round reeds woven in a plain weave. Strings of blue and green glass beads adorn the top of the handle and the area directly beneath the rim. These decorative elements contrast with the basket’s original, utilitarian form. Typical of egg baskets, a God’s Eye design connects the handle to the body.
