<I>Bouquet holder, fruit motif</I>

Silver plated bouquet holder with ring handle. The funnel-shaped vase is comprised of a pierced design featuring leaves, vines and fruits (possibly peaches). A looped clip attached to the middle of the vase allowed the holder to be attached to garments. The neck, which connects the vase to the handle, is made of a tangle of wires in a sphere. The handle has foliated decoration and ends in ring. A short length of chain connected to a ring is attached to the side of the handle. The ring would allow the bouquet holder to be worn from the finger or on a chatelaine at the waist to free the lady's hands while dancing.
