<I>Bouquet holder, blue and orange beads with bone handle</I>

Gilded brass and enamel bouquet holder with bone handle. The vase comprised of multiple elements stamped in four repeats and partially enameled in white, green, blue, black, and red. Each side includes decorative crest over a large medallion, ornately decorated and inlaid with a small glass “gem” alternating between orange and blue. Below the medallion, a bow is centered with a spiraling ribbon connecting to the base. Between each face, a wire element extends the length of the vase and is topped by a rounded six-petaled flower. Near the bottom of the vase, a loop-ended floral pin is connected by a round link chain. The pin would be inserted through the vase to pierce the stems of a bouquet in order to secure the flowers inside the holder. The vase attaches to the handle with six petals textured with crisscrossing lines and droops over the neck band. The spindle handle is short and carved from bone.
