<I>Bouquet holder, oak leaf motif</I>

Silver bouquet holder with looped handle. The vase is formed by oak leaves and acorns within branches, which form loops. The neck, which connects the vase to the handle is spherical with four repeats of figure-8 form. The handle of the bouquet holder was stamped in two parts and follows the curvaceous foliate form that his seen in the vase. It is made of a more substantial cast brass with looped ending with three notches that mimics leaves on a vine. A ring soldered near the top of the notched loop onto which a round-link chain is attached ending in a loop-headed floral pin. The pin would be inserted through the vase to pierce the stems of a bouquet in order to secure the flowers inside the holder. On the back of the vase is loop hook that would allow the bouquet holder to be worn on the clothing.
