Gilded metal bouquet holder with loop handle. The openwork vase is comprised of bold scrolls, flowers, foliage and large birds with leaf in beak. At the base of the vase two short lengths of chain are connected, one of which is broken. The other chain connects to a floral pin. The pin would be inserted through the vase to pierce the stems of a bouquet in order to secure the flowers inside the holder. The handle of the holder was stamped with two repeats with floral decoration. The bottom of the handle loops up creating a ring at the end of the handle.
