<I>Bouquet holder, etched flowers</I>

Silver bouquet holder with straight handle. The funnel shaped vase features etched flowers within panels topped by three registers with engraved design. The lip of the vase is scalloped with wavy petals. A medallion on the vase bears the initials A.G. to E.R.W. in fancy script. The neck, which connects the vase to the handle, has a short length of chain terminating in loop-ended floral pin. The pin would be inserted through the vase to pierce the stems of a bouquet in order to secure the flowers inside the holder. The handle is octagonal and made from a single sheet of metal. Each panel is engraved in an alternating pattern of ways and leaf motifs. A two-part stamped ball caps the bottom of the handle.
