<I>Bouquet holder, beaded openwork</I>

Silver-plated copper bouquet holder with funnel shaped opening and straight handle. The vase is comprised of three stamped repeats that have imitation granulation above three partial repeats turned ninety degrees. The openwork design of the vase creates a lacy effect with beading throughout. The straight handle has two stamped repeats of a flattened-leaf design and is capped with a leaf finial. The fragment of a round-link chain is attached near the top of the bouquet holder. The chain likely would have connected to a floral pin used to secure a bouquet in the holder or a ring to be worn on the finger or attached to a chatelaine at the waist in order to free the lady’s hands while dancing.
