<I>Bouquet holder, beads, tripod, with case</I>

Silver gilt bouquet holder with tripod legs and case. The cone-shaped vase extends the length of the bouquet holder and acts as one of its supports. The rim is beaded with a skirt with turquoise stones set in beaded brackets and garlands of chains hanging from the points in the skirt. The surface of the vase is engraved with decorative motifs and a ring of turquois stones. Three spring mechanized legs connected by a chain extend from the middle of the vase, this would allow the bouquet holder to act as a free-standing table ornament or mantel piece. When closed the bouquet holder could be carried in hand. The original leather and velvet, London jeweler's case bears inscription and name on the satin lining.
