<I>Bouquet holder, flower motif with filigree</I>

Cone shaped bouquet holder made of copper. The vase of the bouquet holder is pierced with stylized flowers over curvaceous leaves and branches. This curvilinear assortment of leaves and flowers connect to the handle at a section of wire mesh in a basket weave. A pin on a chain is attached here that would be pushed through an opening in the vase in order to pierce the stems of the flowers, thus securing them in the bowl. A ring on a chain is also attached which would allow the bouquet holder to be worn about the finger or attached to a chatelaine at the waist. The handle of the bouquet holder was stamped in two parts and follows the curvaceous foliate form that his seen in the vase. It is made of more substantial copper with looped ending with three notches that mimics leaves on a vine.
