Benjamin Franklin, American, 1706 - 1790 · July 1, 1851
Used; believed to be from Plate 2, thus one of the 'common' Type II plates. It is not 4R1L, and does not look like a Plate 1 early stamp. It is possible (but not likely) it is from the rare Plate 3. It is not from Plate 4.
