Letter from Vice Admiral W. W. Smith (Commander Service Force, United States Fleet) to the Fleet Post Office dated 25 May 1945 in which he says that he is "impressed with the thoroughness and dispatch with which mail is being handled and prepared for timely and errorless delivery. This work is important to the morale of the Fleet and advanced bases."
