SACRAMENTO CITY Cal. 4 APR postmark; PAID handstamp and manuscript 37, rate to Copenhagen, Denmark; large red 12; boxed AACHEN 16/5 FRANCO. Backstamps include: New York Am. Packet (date illegible), K.D.O.P.A. (Danish post office) Hamburg double circle 17/5, St. P.A. (Hamburg city post office) oval 17 Mai 56. The letter went from New York to Aachen via American Packet, then via Hamburg to Copenhagen. The method of transit from Sacramento to New York is not known.
