Owney received this token from the postal employees of Corry, Pennsylvania on May 26, 1893. Corry was a busy railway town, served by the New York & Lake Erie line, the Pennsylvania and Lake Erie line, and the Western New York & Pennsylvania railway line. According to the official register of postal employees, the tag represented the town’s four postal staff members: J.B. Patterson, the town postmaster, and postal clerks Harriet O. Carlburg, James Davidson, and Walter E. Guignon.
