Owney may have received this token for room #137 of the Hotel Snoqualmie while visiting Seattle, Washington. A hotel of that name was located on Pike Street near 1st Avenue in Seattle in the early to mid 1890s. During his lifetime, Owney made a number of trips to the cities of Seattle and Tacoma, Washington, including his famous 1895 August trip, when he set out from Tacoma to travel with mailbags around the world.
