Owney received this commemorative medal while traveling in Iowa. The medal celebrates the 7th annual convention of the Iowa Bankers’ Association. One side of the medal notes the event, which took place in Council Bluffs, Iowa on May 23-24, 1893. The other side depicts scenes from around the state, including a central image of the state capitol.
