U.S. Post Office Department Custodial Service chest badge, number 2419, with vertical hinged pin and safety clasp on verso. Spread eagle surmounts circular medallion with backward horse and rider; upper portion marked "POST OFFICE DEPARTMENT"; lower portion bears skirt with badge number. "Custodial Service" and "Guard" rubbed clean from badge surface, but embossed lettering still appear on verso.
