United Kingdom free frank front mounted on a stiff backing franked by the signature of the Earl of Dartmouth and addressed to Hinton House, Alresford, Hampshire, now a National Trust Property built in 1793. This front bears a double lined "FREE" mark dated July 10, 1832, and the signature of William Legge, the 4th Earl of Dartmouth who represented Milborne Port in Parliament in 1810. This same year he inherited the title of Earl from his father and served in the House of Lords from 1810 to 1853.
