Canal Zone Postal Administration · c. 1969
Working die on curved plate depicting jet liner and tail assembly; significant amount of rust on front and verso. The 10-cent die was used for embossing Air Post envelopes for the Canal Zone Postal Administration. During the printing process, the recessed tail, jet, lettering, and numerical figures remained uninked, leaving instead a raised impression on the paper. C. Z. Scott UC11.
