Letter from Clara Booth to Mary Slade

The letter from Clara Buckner Hickman Booth (1857-1936) is addressed to Miss Mary Slade. It is on stationery personalized with her married name, Mrs. William J. Booth, and address in Ann Arbor, Michigan. At one time, Clara Booth was a resident of Boone County, Missouri, like Mary Slade. The correspondence references a recipe by Mrs. Shindler's [sic] oatmeal drop cookies (see NPM object #2009.2033.1.208.6 that has the spelling "Mrs. Schindler") and there is another note paper in the museum's collection that appears to have the same handwriting (see NPM object #2009.2033.1.175.10.1-.2). The letter was enclosed in the postal ledger used by Mary Slade.
