The engraved illustration from the P. C. Advertiser became the design chosen for the vignette of the stamped envelope indicium for the series Hawaii Scott U1--U14. See the handwritten in pencil. The depiction of Diamond Head and Punchbowl Hill have been numbered in black ink and a legend created below for the use of the artist. This piece accompanied the "Notes to the Artist" [document 1984.0372.89].
