During the 1934-1935 hunting season, sportsmen hunting on their own land or in states not issuing hunting licenses affixed the mandatory federal duck stamp to Federal Form 3333. Paperwork to secure Form 3333 included Form 3332, the "Application for Migratory-Bird Hunting Stamp." Local postmasters processed these forms and sold the stamps. The application form, which gathered relevant information from the hunter and which the postmaster stamped or signed, is extremely rare since postmasters usually did not save them longer than necessary. Only six verified examples of Form 3332 existed in the 1990s.
