Letter from Postmaster to US Representative from VT

One lined sheet handwritten on both sides to Hon. J.S. Morrill [Justin Smith Morrill, 1810-1898, Vermont politician and a founder of the Republican Party], who in 1863 was serving as US Representative for Vermont's second congressional district. The letter discussing a location and position for a post office was written on May 30, 1863, by S.M. Gleason of Union Village, Vermont, who served as postmaster 1861-1864.
