This albarello drug jar has a matte glaze finish and the decorative renderings are very precise unlike the artistic renderings of other drug jars in the collection. George Urdang author of the The Squibb Ancient Pharmacy Catalogue attributed this jar to 17th century Verona. However, after examining the collection in 1983, D.A. Wittop Koning author of numerous books on pharmaceutical equipment expressed doubt that this container was authentic.
