This albarello drug jar has rounded shoulders and a short foot with a blue scroll design. The jar is decorated with a blue, green and yellow floral motif with cherubic infants (putti) perched on vines. A gold crown sits over the heads of a double headed eagle, which holds an escutcheon inside a gold shield. The jar is marked <i>TRYPHERA MAGNA</i> a compound that includes opium, cinnamon, and henbane leaves for relief of gastric pain and insomnia.
