The texts at the bottom of this allegorical image read “LA PHARMACIE / Tiré du cabinet de Monseigneur le Duc de PICQUIGNY. / Se vend à Paris chez la veuve de François Chereau, graveur du Roy, rüe St. Jacques aux deux Piliers d’Or.” Also, “Inventé et Peint par J. la Jouë” and “Gravé par C. N. Cochin.” Jacques de la Joue (1686-1761) was a Dutch genre painter. Charles-Nicholas Cochin was an engraver in Paris. François Chereau (1680-1729) was an engraver in Paris.
