This waisted drug jar has a white background with a garland of stylized blue and orange flowers surrounded by green leaves, and a band of gothic-style letters at the waist. The lid has a round orange ball and green leaf finial with a band of blue flowers. George Urdang author of <i>The Squibb Ancient Pharmacy Catalogue</i> attributes this jar to mid–eighteenth century Strasbourg.
