TERR VITRIOL DULC

This blown and molded square-shaped glass jar has a narrow neck and flared lip. It has a baked white enamel label framed in blue and red surrounded by a gold and brown escutcheon with a crown at the top. The label is marked <i>TERR VITRIOL DULC</i> in black text, with the first initial of each word painted red. The bottle would have held <i>Terra Vitrioli Dulcis</i> an iron sulfate solution which was generally used as an astringent.
