Lithograph by Johann Woelffle (1807-1893), after a painting by Adrian Brower (1605-1638), showing a shop in which one barber surgeon attends to the foot of a patient, and one attends to the neck of another. The texts at the bottom read “HOLLANDISCHE BARBIERSTUBE / Aus den koniglichen bayerischen Pinakothek zu / München / Das original, auf Holz gemalt, ist in Derselben Grosse” and “BOUTIQUE DU BARBIER EN HOLLANDE / l’original se trouve à Munich, dans le Pinakotheck / de S. M. le Roi de Bavière. / Le tableau, peint sur bois, est de cette grandeur.” Other inscriptions read “Gemalt v. Adrian Brouwer” and “Gedr. in d. Kűnstanstalt v. Piloty u. Loehle” and “Nach d. Originale auf Stein gez v. J. Woelfile.”
