Carved wooden sculpture of three animals, possibly a dog. Made from one block of wood. The sculpture has retained traces of paint. In Greek and Roman mythology, Cerberus is a three headed dog that guards the gates to Hades. Pharmaceutical historian George Urdang author of The Squibb Ancient Pharmacy Catalogue attributres this piece to the 16th century.
