This is a small wide-mouthed tin-glazed whitish gray drug jar with a flared lip. The jar is decorated with a circular vine of blue leaves and flowers and is marked “EXTR CENTAUR MIN.” The buds, leaves and stems of the plant <i>Centaurium minus</i> are used in the preparation of Extract of Centaurium Minus. The extract was used as as a remedy for hypertension, dyspepsia, loss of appetite, kidney stones, anxiety and insomnia.
