The Last Spike
ca. 1869
This is a replica of the Golden Spike driven to complete the Transcontinental Railroad on May 10, 1869. The names of the Union Pacific directors and officers of the Central Pacific Railroad are engraved on its sides and "The Last Spike" is engraved on the head of the spike.
