Four glass lenses (two convex and two concave), each mounted on a brass stand, purchased for the U.S. Military Academy in 1829. The “Lerebours à Paris” inscription on each stand refers to Noël Jean Lerebours (1761-1840), a prominent French optician and instrument maker.
