Spectacles and Case

The Copp family of Stonington, Connecticut owned these steel spectacles during the early 19th century. The spectacles are hinged at the temple and halfway down the stem, with small oval loops for the earpiece that is typical for late century glasses. The spectacles came are accompanied with a brass case.
