This metal scroll-saw blade belonged to Peter Glass. It was ideal for cutting and shaping inlay, intarsia, and marquetry. As a farmer in Wisconsin, German immigrant, Peter Glass, applied his native training as a marquetry craftsman to make award-winning furniture in his spare time. The scroll-saw, of which this blade was a part, was likely pedal operated.
