Edwin Williams’ <i>The New York Annual Register</i> was published by J. Seymour of New York in 1832. Part one of the register contained an almanac with astronomical and geographical information; part two listed statistics for New York that included Senate and Congressional districts, post offices, stage lines, roads and distances, branches of the United States Bank, and literary and scientific institutions of the state; part three contained lists of city clerks, judicial offices, and military establishments; part four contained information about the Federal Government including Cabinet members, members of Congress, finances, the census, tariffs, and imports and exports.
