Spectacles

The Copp family of Stonington, Connecticut owned these steel spectacles around 1790. The spectacles are hinged at the temple and halfway down the stem, with round loops for the earpiece that is typical for late century glasses. One of the lenses is cracked, and the frame has been repaired with wire.
