Pencil and ink wash sketch on paper. This view of the Passerelle bridge (the furthest from the viewer) is from the city of Luxembourg. Luxembourg was occupied by German forces from the beginning of the First World War in August of 1914, to the end of the war, in November 1918. American Expeditionary Forces liberated this small country.
