Designating Flag, 3rd Division, 22nd Army Corps

Rectangular wool bunting flag. White field with a blue pentagonal cross in the center of the flag. Reinforcement squares of fabric on both hoist corners. White cotton hoist is hand-stitched and has a metal grommet at each end. Lengthwise seams are machine-stitched and flat-felled. Cross has two rows of stitching--outer is machine-stitched and inner is hand-stitched (hand-stitching causes uneven tension, puckering, and holes). Hem is double-stitched. Inscription on hoist reads: "22ND ARMY / CORPS 3RD DIVISION".
