Salvage, Clearing up the Fields Behind the Lines

Two American soldiers collect and organize German rifles (possibly Mauser Gewehr rifles?), helmets, ammunition, and other supplies from behind enemy lines in an open, deserted field. The focal point of the sketch, one of the soldiers, is carrying gun belts while the other kneels behind him. They are surrounded by enemy supplies and two damaged trees.
