Jacquard woven ribbon with abstract design on black ground; design composed of a brown and yellow flower inside a brown diamond shape with yellow scroll work; red dot on scrollwork; brown band outlined by narrow yellow bands with repeating yellow diamond pattern on interior brown band along edges. Fabricated in St. Etienne, France between 1850-1900. From the Merci Train or Graditude Train from France.
