Jacquard woven ribbon with floral design of polychrome flowers and green leaves on black ground; flowers connected by a scrollwork of stylized acanthus leaves in brown and yellow; bordered by striped band of brown and yellow with stylized leaf design interrupts band at intervals on interior side. Fabricated in St. Etienne, France between 1850-1900. From the Merci Train or Graditude Train from France.
