Jacquard woven ribbon with floral motif composed of stylized red flowers outlined in gold on black ground; flowers connected by green leaves outlined in gold and gold vines; wide red border outlined in gold with inner geometric design of repeating pairs of black diamond shapes. Fabricated in St. Etienne, France between 1850-1900. From the Merci Train or Graditude Train from France.
