Jacquard woven ribbon with floral design of large roses with green leaves on black ground; roses connected to curling brown and yellow vines with thorns and leaves; bicolor band of medium brown and gold along edges; edged with dark brown. Fabricated in St. Etienne, France between 1850-1900. From the Merci Train or Gratitude Train from France.
