Jacquard woven ribbon with bird and floral design of polychrome birds on blue ground surrounded by brown branches, green and brown leaves and polychrome flowers; grey butterfly and gray and yellow snail among flora; dark brown band with narrow yellow band along edges. Fabricated in St. Etienne, France between 1850-1900. From the Merci Train or Gratitude Train from France.
