A sepia tone carte-de-visite of an infant. Captured in studio on a seat draped with a striped piece of fabric, the baby is posed wearing a bright long-sleeve dress and head wrap, their gaze focused slightly beyond the camera. Below the image, atop the tan photograph card, in blue ink, are the ‘Strong’ name and studio address [Third & Main Sts. / Napa, Cal.] imprints. On the reverse of the carte-de-visite are graphite inscriptions reading [Alice] and [Jennings] in different hands along with several numerical inscriptions.
