A black wool felt hat with flocked net. The hat is made of wool felt with cut pile. The oval shaped crown is blocked to shape, the cut pile side of the felt is used on the exterior. The brim of the hat is made of a separate blocked piece of wool, the flocked side of the felt is used for the underside of the brim which curves upwards on the edges. Black flocked net is draped over the crown and is gathered at the center back of the hat which continues into a ten inch long tail. A black synthetic peterhsham ribbon is tacked to the base of the crown. A black synthetic petersham ribbon is machine sewn along the inner circumference of the crown. A woven fabric size label is sewn along the center back of the interior petersham ribbon. White text is stamped to the center top of the crown at the interior. The stamp is of the shape of a diamond with the text [BODY / MADE IN FRANCE].
