A black wool felt hat with a suede hat band. The hat is composed of one panel of black wool felt that has been blocked to shape. There is 3” deep brim that is slightly deeper on the sides (3.5”). Two metal wires are sewn along the brim’s edge for added structure. One wire is zig zag stitched along the edge and the other wire is tucked into the fold at the brim’s edge and machine sewn into place. There is a 1.25” wide suede hat band encircle the outer crown. It’s handstitched into place on the proper left side, under the hat band’s knot. A .75” wide black rayon Petersham ribbon is machine sewn along the interior crown. There is no label.
