A sepia tone carte-de-visite portrait of a young man in Barbados. Captured seated against a bright background, a young man poses for the camera wearing a dark long-sleeve jacket, vest, bright collared shirt and narrow bowtie. He gazes to his proper left, has dark and short hair, and his image is vignette-framed on the card mount. On the reverse of the carte-de-visite in dark ink is the photographer’s imprint: [Edward Fraas & Co.], and a few handwritten inscriptions in graphite including [Teacher Sewita (?) Cruz] and [BARBADOS?].
