A black-and-white cabinet card of Matt Gray by Richards in Winchester, Tennessee. The full-length portrait captures Gray sitting in a chair, facing forward, with his legs crossed and a hat resting on his proper left knee. He is wearing pattered pants with a dark color jacket and vest over a light color shirt and tie. There is a chain between his jacket and vest. There is botanical imagery on the left side of the background. The photograph has a rectangular mat frame and backing with rounded corners. Printed along the bottom margin [Richards / WINCHETER, / TENN]. On the back, at the top center is the sitter’s name handwritten in pencil [Matt Gray].
