A straw boater with a hat band. The hat has a flat rounded crown with a flat oval brim. A brown cotton rayon blend petersham ribbon is wrapped around the base of the crown. Two strands of brown petersham ribbon are folded and sewn at the center back of the hat along the hat band, the ends of the ribbon strands lay across the center back of the brim and have frayed edges. A brown cotton rayon blend petersham ribbon is handsewn along the base of the crown at the interior. A woven fabric label is sewn along the interior petersham ribbon at the center back. The label reads [BACHRACH'S/ WASHINGTON D.C.].
